Battery maintenance

Correct charging:
Choose a high quality and matching charger, and avoid using non-original or non-standard chargers, so as not to cause damage to the battery.
Before charging, make sure that the charger plug is compatible with the vehicle battery socket. Turn off the power lock of the electric vehicle before inserting the charger.
After charging is complete, unplug the AC power supply first, and then disconnect the charger and battery to avoid short circuit or contact with sparks caused by reverse operation.
To avoid overcharging, the summer charging time is generally 8 hours, and the winter can be appropriately extended, but not more than 12 hours.
It is strictly prohibited to use and store power loss, no matter how much power is consumed after each use, it should be charged in time, and keep the battery in a fully charged state when not in use for a long time, and charge once a month.

Avoid extreme environments:

The battery cannot be close to the open flame or high temperature heat source, and the battery is strictly prohibited from being directly exposed to the sun or charged after exposure in the high temperature season.
Store the Electric Bicycle indoors as much as possible to avoid rain and sun, and prevent water or excessive exposure of the battery.

Regular inspection and maintenance:
Periodically check the surface temperature of the battery box to prevent excessive temperature from affecting battery performance.
Pay attention to the battery charging status. If the indicator cannot be changed after 12 hours of charging, repair the charger and battery

Maintenance of body and transmission components

Regular cleaning:

After each ride, the body should be cleaned in time, especially the components such as frame, tires, battery packs and chargers, to avoid dust, dirt and water corrosion of metal parts, affecting rotation flexibility. Especially when there is rain and snow or salt water on the road, pay more attention to wipe it clean.
Use a soft cloth or sponge, clean with water or neutral detergent, and avoid using corrosive cleaning agents.

Check and tighten:

Regularly check the tightness of all parts of the body, such as screws, nuts, etc., to ensure that they are not loose or falling off.
When fastening the fasteners, appropriate tools should be used to tighten them according to the specified torque to avoid being too tight or too loose

Anti-rust treatment:
For the metal parts of the body, especially the parts that are easy to rust, such as chains, brake lines, etc., rust prevention treatment should be carried out regularly.
It can be applied with a special rust inhibitor or lubricant to form a protective layer that prevents moisture and oxygen from contacting the metal surface.

Transmission component maintenance
Lubrication:
Lubrication of transmission components is the key to maintenance. According to the use, the front axle, rear axle, central axle, flywheel, chain and other parts should be regularly lubricated.
Molybdenum disulfide grease or other suitable lubricating oil is recommended for lubrication. When lubricating, an appropriate amount of lubricating oil should be applied to the friction surface of the component, and ensure that the lubricating oil is evenly distributed.
Be careful not to over-lubricate, so as not to spill lubricating oil on the tires or brake pads, affecting driving safety.

Check and adjust:
Regularly check the wear of the transmission parts, such as chain, flywheel, etc., if there is serious wear or break, should be replaced in time.
Adjust the tightness of the chain to ensure that the chain is not too tight or too loose during transmission. The sag of the chain is 1-2mm.
Check and adjust the sensitivity of the brake system to ensure rapid and reliable braking

Cleaning and maintenance:

Clean the transmission components regularly to remove surface dirt and oil stains. When cleaning, you can use a soft brush or cloth to wipe, avoid using corrosive cleaning agents.
For the chain and other parts, you can use a special chain cleaner to clean, then rinse with water and dry.

Vehicle inspection:
Check that the tire pressure is adequate and that the tire is not worn, deflated or cracked.
Check whether the brake system is sensitive and reliable, and whether the brake pads are seriously worn.
Check that lights, turn signals, horns, etc. are working properly.
Make sure the battery is fully charged and the charger is not damaged.
Personal Protection:
Wear a safety helmet, choose a safety helmet that meets the standard, wear it correctly, and fasten the buckle.
Wear suitable riding clothes and shoes, avoid wearing slippers, high heels and other shoes that are not convenient for riding.

Obey traffic rules:

Strictly obey traffic lights, do not run red lights, do not reverse, do not change lanes at will.
When crossing crosswalks, avoid pedestrians and slow down.
Maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front to avoid rear-end collision or collision.
Safe driving:
Hold the handlebars with both hands to maintain your balance and avoid riding with one hand or leaving the handlebars.
Before turning, slow down, reach out or turn on the turn signal in advance, and do not suddenly turn sharply.
Stay away from moving motor vehicles to avoid being knocked down by suddenly opened motor vehicle doors.
Avoid Bad habits:
Do not make phone calls, play mobile phones or wear headphones during the ride to avoid distraction.
Do not wear reverse clothing, do not wear heavy gloves, so as to avoid injury caused by limited activity in emergencies.
Do not drink riding, drinking will affect judgment and reaction speed, increase the risk of accidents.

Timely charging:
Charge in time after the end of the ride to avoid excessive battery discharge affecting the service life.
When charging, use the original charger and follow the correct charging method.
Vehicle cleaning:
Clean the Electric Bike regularly, especially the dust and dirt on the frame, tires, battery packs and other components.
When cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge, and wipe with water or neutral detergent.
Storage safety:
Park your e-bike in a safe, dry place to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or humidity.
If the electric bicycle is not used for a long time, the battery should be unplugged and regularly charged for maintenance.

Other notes

Learn about vehicle performance:
Before riding, we should understand the performance characteristics and operation methods of electric bicycles in order to better grasp the vehicle.
Comply with laws and regulations:
When riding an electric bicycle, you should comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as wearing a safety helmet, not carrying a person (or carrying a person according to regulations), and not speeding.
Pay attention to changes in road conditions:
In the process of riding, we should always pay attention to changes in road conditions, such as road construction, potholes, uneven water, etc., in order to take timely countermeasures.
